If there were 2 things wish we had more of it would most likely be time and money. So the practical solution would be to learn how to be more effective and to get more done in less time. As this year rapidly comes to an end and a brand new one is approaching, we all strive to create that perfect year.
As we all know, a powerful year doesn’t just happen by chance. We have to prepare and figure out the best way to optimize our effectiveness. It all starts with clarity. Being clear on what you want the new year to look like and what area you are going to focus on as your number 1 area of expertise.
Here are 4 things that you could apply when you are evaluating your plan that will help maximize your results. Answering these questions will help you to be more efficient and eliminate what you don’t need to bring into the new year.
- Create a delegate list – The majority of us put an intense amount of pressure on ourselves to try to get everything done. The reality is we don’t have to. Create a list of what you personally have to do. Then create a list of what needs to get done and who can help you do it.
- Evaluate your priorities – The amount of time we spend on things should be relative to how important it is in your business. Does this task need to be evaluated and worked on right now? We need to eliminate everything we possibly can that wastes our time. If it is something that you really don’t think you need to do right now just don’t do it.
- What is the first step I need to take – When you are clear on what you are leaving behind and what tasks are necessary to catapult your business his year, pick the one thing you need to do to take action and get started.
- What do I do best – Look at the one thing you do the best and focus on that. It is the best way to get off to a fast start. Let people do what they do best so you can do what you do best.
I hope you have a powerful year, just remember to simplify and clarify! Remember not to waste precious time an things that don’t matter. Give yourself a break this year. try not to get caught up in your to do list. Work on the most important tasks first and handle the rest as they come.
Have a happy healthy and blessed new year. Make it a great one!
